A simple idea born of fatherhood, friendship and a love of music has flourished and taken shape, almost as far South as you can go.Meet The Bad Dad Orchestra, a collective of eight dads, all of whom have played key roles in Tasmania’s vibrant music scene over the past decade (Guthrie, Bad Beef, Dublo, Box Money, The Devilrock Four, The Staunches, The Stayns, The Blackstone Dukes and Horehound - to name a few!), now basking in their inherent “dadness” and wowing audiences with a high-energy rock n' soul live experience.

The ‘Dads latest EP, “Go And Ask Your Mother”, unleashed in September of 2017, is a self-produced four track EP that captures the band’s raw musical strengths: big grooves, snappy horn lines and catchy-as-hell vocals. Critics have already likened their sound to that of “classic Australian pub rock with a modern twist” and championed their unique brand of sixteen-legged soul.

Pick a bunch of the coolest songs from the last four decades and then toss in some great new ones. Add a guitarist that plays with great passion and a singer who can soothe with soft soulfulness one moment, and then lift the roof off with her vocal power the next.  This is Stephanie Chitty and Jimmy Reece.

Stephanie and Jimmy have history. Both started out in Tasmanian bands in the ‘70s, ended up in Sydney in the ‘80s and were both signed to international recording deals with Warner Bros. Records in the ‘90s - Stephanie pursuing a solo career while Jimmy found success with the band Bang The Drum.

Over the last 4 decades they have toured throughout Australia, playing countless gigs in some of the biggest concert arenas in the country.and enjoyed chart success both here in Australia and overseas.

Their current repertoire includes songs from artists like Tom Waites, Led Zeppelin, Amy Winehouse, Chaka Kahn, Fleetwood Mac and more.

A truly powerful and soulful guitar/vocal duo.
